MMD National Treasurer Ms Elizabeth Chitika has exposed the duplicitous character of Lunte Member of Parliament Felix Mutati and that he has been the shadow behind the confusion that engulfed the party soon after the election of Party President Dr. Nevers Sekwila Mumba.
The Northern Province Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) Executive Committee has told outgoing Lunte Member of Parliament Felix Mutati to “go to hell” as the province no longer considers him an MMD Member of Parliament because of his blatant betrayal of the party.
UPND started campaigning ahead of both MMD and PF who were both embroiled in internal strife. The UPND got the endorsement of many opposition MPs who campaigned for them. Mr Bwalya likened the failure of the UPND to win the 2015 election to a football striker who is given a penalty and the goal keeper is removed from the goal but he kicks the ball over the bar.

A founding member of the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) has said the MMD Constitution does not have any clause that gives special recognition to the so-called ‘Founding Fathers’ as every member, whether present at the formation of the party or has joined the party this year, are all treated equally and freely enjoy all privileges and rights of membership across the board.
The Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) has called upon MMD President Dr. Nevers Mumba to give the Western Province hardworking and dedicated Members of Parliament who are loyal to the people and able to cooperate with the BRE to help bring genuine development and progress to the Province.

One wonders why despite repeated calls from the Head of State to stop tribal talk, his cabinet ministers do not heed to his directive.
